Post- cosmetic Tattooing Information

After your treatment, you must avoid cleansers, makeup, swimming, spas, and direct contact with the treated area until healing is complete.

Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours.
Do not pick, peel, scratch, or rub the healing area, as this may cause uneven colour retention, scarring, or infection.
The healing process typically takes 7–14 days. During this time, the colour will appear darker and more intense. The true healed colour will be visible at approximately the 3-week mark.
For some clients, results may be perfect after the initial procedure. For others, areas may appear lighter or slightly patchy. This is normal and will be addressed at your scheduled perfection visit, approximately 5–6 weeks after your initial appointment.
No tattooing can be performed before this time, as treating the skin too soon may cause scarring or damage.

PERFECTION VISITS

The perfection touch up appointment must be made within 6-8 weeks after the initial treatment

6-18 MONTH COLOUR BOOST

This is basically refreshing the brow/eyeliner/Lip colour by tattooing again once.
Special colour boost prices are for my clients who have had there initial and touch up treatments done with me. If you haven’t had this appointment with me full prices apply for your first visit.

CANCELLATION POLICY

48HRS notice is to be given to change any appointment. If appointment is missed or not 48hrs notice given then $100 deposit is forfeited and full payment of treatment will be required when rebooking.
Unfortunately there is No Exceptions.

EYEBROWS POST-TREATMENT CARE

Day of Treatment – ABSORB

• Gently blot the treated area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.

• Blot as needed throughout the day until oozing has stopped.

• Removing this fluid helps prevent thick scabbing and promotes better healing.

Days 1–7 – WASH

• Cleanse daily to remove bacteria, excess oils, product build-up, and dead skin.

• Gently wash brows morning and night using water and an antibacterial cleanser such as Cetaphil or QV.

• Using clean fingertips, lightly cleanse in a smooth circular motion for approximately 10 seconds.

• Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry with a clean tissue.

• Do NOT use products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, AHA), retinol, or exfoliants on the area.

Days 1–7 – MOISTURISE

• Apply a rice-grain amount of the recommended aftercare ointment using a cotton swab.

• Spread a very thin layer across the treated area.

• Do not over-apply — excess ointment can suffocate the skin and delay healing.

• Never apply ointment to wet or damp skin.

Remember: AWM – Absorb, Wash, Moisturise

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

• Use a clean pillowcase while sleeping.

• Allow scabs or flaking skin to fall away naturally — do not pick.

• No facials or chemical treatments for 2 weeks.

• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for 48 hours.

• Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks. Wear a hat when outdoors.

• Avoid long, hot showers for 10 days.

• Avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days.

• Avoid swimming (pools, lakes, ocean) and hot tubs for 10 days.

• Do not apply makeup or sunscreen directly over the treated area during healing.

• Do not rub, scratch, or pick the brows.

Showering Guidelines

• Keep showers short (5 minutes).

• Avoid steam and hot water on the treated area.

• Keep brows dry while washing your body.

• Wash hair at the end of the shower so the brows are only briefly exposed to water.

LIPS POST-TREATMENT CARE

Medication

• Complete your prescribed antiviral medication as directed to help prevent outbreaks.

Ointment & Hydration

• Apply the recommended ointment several times daily for a minimum of 10 days.

• Do not allow lips to become dry, as this can affect healed colour.

• If lips feel dry, apply a light layer of ointment by gently dabbing/pressing onto the skin — do not rub.

Normal Healing

• Itching, flaking, and dryness are normal.

• DO NOT pick, peel, or scratch.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Do not use soaps, cleansing creams, or chemicals on the lips for 10 days.
Wash your face carefully, avoiding the lip area.
Avoid hot drinks, hot soups, and steam for 10 days.
Drink through a straw until lips have completely peeled.
Avoid stretching the lips (no biting into large foods). Cut food into small pieces.
Avoid greasy, oily, salty, or spicy foods — place food gently into the mouth.
Do not constantly wipe or lick lips.
Avoid water contact on the pigmented area for the first 7 days.
When showering, apply ointment beforehand to create a protective barrier.
Do not stand with your face directly under the shower.
No swimming, baths, spas, or hot tubs for 4 weeks.
Before brushing teeth, seal lips with ointment.
Use a small amount of non-whitening toothpaste.
Avoid whitening/bleaching teeth for approximately 2 weeks.
You may use a protected ice pack for swelling for the first 48 hours (10-minute intervals). Never place ice directly on the lips.
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 4 weeks.
Lipstick, gloss, and balm may be worn after 10 days (use brand-new products only).
Sleep slightly elevated to reduce swelling.
Sleeping on your back with a satin pillowcase is recommended.
No smoking for a minimum of 10 days.
No kissing, rubbing, or friction on the lips for 10 days.

Additional Information

• Colour will appear brighter and more intense during healing.

• True healed colour is visible around the 3–4 week mark.

• Some dryness may persist for several months — this is normal.
